Terry’s Journey

Hello,

My name is Terry and I am traveling alone today. I am a professional dancer on board Celebrity Cruises. I am about to start rehearsals for the Celebrity Eclipse, which will be sailing around South America, Antarctica, then to the West Coast, Hawaii, and Alaska. I rehearse until December, then go home for Christmas before joining the ship on January 6th.

I love this idea, and it will be a great memory for the start of my 3rd contract.

Hi Terry,

Many people dream of going on a cruise, and you’re living it and not just as a passenger but as the person bringing the entertainment to life. I have to say, I really like Virgin Voyages cruises too (mainly because kids aren’t allowed — peace at last! lol ).

I used to dance as a teenager, so I know how many hours of practice go into those shows before you ever step on stage. It sounds like you’re so committed and passionate about your work.

I can also see how hard it must be being away from family for long stretches of time but you still write with so much warmth and gratitude and honestly, that speaks louder than any applause.

The lesson?

When we let passion guide us, the world expands in ways we couldn’t imagine. It takes courage to keep dancing through uncertainty, but that courage becomes a gift to everyone watching.
