What a lovely idea!

We are a young couple from the midlands who are travelling to the USA for the first time! Our plan is to drive over to Santa Barbara after landing in LA, where we will be spending four nights. After that we will be heading back to LA to spend another four nights. Shortly followed by Las Vegas!

My partner and I spoke early this morning about how crazy this big, wide world can be and that it's absolute madness to think we all travelled to Heathrow airport this morning to catch this flight, to this destination. Hundreds of people all sat together in a piece of flying metal. Just Strangers on a journey together. People don't do this kind of thine enough and I love hors this book is bringing people together and sharing Stories!

The fundamentals to a happy life....

  • Something to do

  • Something to love

  • Something to look forward to

Safe travels and enjoy your journey with your beautiful family! Have a great time!.

Hi Sash & Sam,

What a beautiful journey you’re on and what a perfect reminder that travel is about more than the places we visit. I love how you captured that moment of wonder: hundreds of strangers, all lifted into the sky together, each carrying their own reasons, their own dreams. That’s exactly why Your Sky Story exists, to pause and notice the magic in the ordinary.

Your three fundamentals — something to do, something to love, something to look forward to — really touched me. They’re so simple, yet so true. When I read them, I thought about my own travels: how much joy comes not just from arriving, but from having something exciting ahead, from the people we care about, and from doing what makes our hearts alive.

Thank you for putting it so beautifully.

Anita

In a world that often pushes us to want more, maybe it’s really about enough:

  • Enough love to feel connected.

  • Enough purpose to feel useful.

  • Enough hope to look forward with excitement.

Travel teaches us this again and again — that joy is not just in big adventures, but in the quiet realisations along the way.

To anyone reading this: when was the last time you stopped mid-journey and thought about your own “three fundamentals”?
